Wednesday

A lot of big events have happened to me lately, and I need to record them somewhere.

* October 1, we moved out of our apartment and into our first house.
* October thirteenth, I turned 30.
* On the eighteenth, my grandmother died, two days after grampa's birthday. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's about 15 years ago, and she was getting into the late stages, almost bed-ridden. Grampa said she hasn't talked in the last four years, but I'm pretty sure it was more like three, because the first time Melinda met her (about 4 years ago), I remember Gramma was having a hard time remembering me, but she kept saying "I love you!" to Melinda.
* Probably crappy to take note of this after marking the date that my grandmother died, but after four years trying to finish a novel, I finally wrote THE END of the first draft on October 23. Now I have to try to keep things rolling and get it revised, ask my friends for criticism, and decide where to send it.

Tuesday

www.sklerosystems.com/ppp/ is the Peace Pumpkin Project. Simple meme: carve NO WAR into your pumpkin this year, and see how many of your friends can be convinced to do the same.
